Easy Homemade Peanut Butter Cups (Simple, Rich & No Fuss!)

If you love that classic chocolate + peanut butter combo, these Easy Homemade Peanut Butter Cups have the perfect creamy–firm center and a rich chocolate shell. They’re simple to make and taste even better than store-bought!


✨ Ingredients

Peanut Butter Filling

• 1 cup creamy peanut butter

• 1 cup powdered sugar (more sugar = sweeter + firmer, choose your texture)

Chocolate Layers

• 2 cups melted chocolate chips (milk, dark, or white)

• Optional: 1–2 teaspoons coconut oil for smoother chocolate

• Cupcake liners or a mini muffin mold

🍫 How to Make Easy Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

1. Make the Peanut Butter Filling

In a bowl, mix the peanut butter with 1 cup powdered sugar first.
If you want it firmer (more like Reese’s texture), slowly mix in up to ½ cup more until the mixture turns into a soft, rollable dough.

Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and set aside.


2. Create the Chocolate Base

Spoon about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into each cupcake liner.
This becomes the base of your peanut butter cups.


3. Add the Peanut Butter Center

Place a peanut butter ball onto the chocolate base.
Press gently so it sinks in slightly.


4. Cover With More Chocolate

Top each cup with another 1–1½ teaspoons of melted chocolate, covering the peanut butter completely.

Tap the tray gently to smooth out the tops.


5. Chill Until Firm

Refrigerate for 20–25 minutes or freeze for 10–15 minutes, until the chocolate is fully hardened.
