Fail-Proof Ghost Meringue Cookies 👻

These Fail-Proof Ghost Meringue Cookies are light, crunchy, and absolutely adorable—perfect for any Halloween celebration! Made with just a few simple ingredients, they’re spooky-sweet and melt right in your mouth.

Ingredients

• 3 large egg whites (room temperature)

• ½ tsp cream of tartar

• ¾ cup granulated sugar

• ½ tsp vanilla extract

• Optional: a small drop of black gel food coloring (for eyes)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 225°F (110°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar on medium until soft peaks form.

3. Add sugar slowly, one tablespoon at a time, until glossy stiff peaks form.

4. Mix in vanilla.

5. Pipe ghosts: Transfer most of the meringue into a piping bag with a round tip. Pipe tall ghost shapes onto the tray.

6. Make the eyes: Take a spoonful of meringue, tint it black, and pipe tiny dots for eyes (or use a toothpick to dab them on).

7. Bake for 2 hours, then turn off the oven and let them cool inside until crisp.

Tips

• Keep your bowl and whisk completely clean and dry.

• Don’t skip the slow cooling—this keeps them perfectly crisp.

• Store in an airtight container to prevent softening.
