Homemade Whoppers (Malted Milk Balls) – Easy No-Bake Treat!

If you love the classic crunch of Whoppers or Maltesers, you’re going to obsess over this simple homemade version. They’re rich, malty, chocolatey, and only require a few ingredients. Plus, they’re fun to make and perfect for gifting or snacking.

• 1 cup white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)

• ½ cup malted milk powder

• 1 cup milk chocolate chips (for coating)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Mix the Center

Melt 1 cup white chocolate until smooth. Stir in ½ cup malted milk powder. The mixture will thicken quickly—this creates that classic crunchy Whopper-style center.

2. Roll Into Balls

Scoop out small portions (about 1 teaspoon each) and roll them into balls. Place each one on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Freeze

Freeze the rolled balls for 15–20 minutes or until firm. This keeps them from crumbling when dipped.

4. Dip in Milk Chocolate

Melt 1 cup milk chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler. Dip each frozen malt ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Let any extra drip off before placing it back on the tray.

5. Let Them Set

Allow the chocolate shells to harden at room temp or refrigerate for 10 minutes.
