Viral grinch crumbl cookie copycat recipe!
These soft, thick Grinch cookies are inspired by the viral Crumbl version everyone loves during the holidays. They’re bright green, buttery, perfectly chewy in the center, and finished with a tiny red heart — because even the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes 💚❤️
The best part? This recipe starts with a simple sugar cookie mix, so it’s quick, beginner-friendly, and almost impossible to mess up. Perfect for Christmas baking, parties, or a festive night at home.

Instructions
1. Prep
Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Make the dough
In a bowl, mix together the cookie mix, melted butter, milk, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth. If using, gently mix in 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
Add green food coloring a few drops at a time until you reach a bright Grinch green.
The dough will be soft and thick, similar to cake batter but scoopable.
3. Shape
Scoop 2½–3 tablespoons of dough per cookie. Roll lightly and place on the baking sheet as tall mounds (do not flatten).
Leave space between cookies — they spread.
4. Bake
Bake for 12–14 minutes, until:
• Edges are set
• Centers look soft and slightly underdone
If cookies brown too fast, loosely tent with foil and finish baking.
5. Decorate
As soon as cookies come out of the oven, gently press one red heart into the center of each cookie.
6. Cool
Let cookies cool on the pan for at least 15 minutes. They will firm up on the outside while staying soft inside.
Tips for Crumbl-Style Results
• Bake lower and longer for soft centers
• Don’t overbake — pale centers are good
• Almond extract gives that signature bakery flavor
• Cover with foil if edges darken too quickly
Storage
Store cookies covered at room temperature for up to 3 days. They also freeze well once fully cooled.
Final Thoughts
These Grinch cookies are festive, fun, and unbelievably soft — the kind of cookie that disappears fast. Whether you’re baking with family or making content for the holidays, this recipe is a guaranteed win.
💚🎄 Happy baking, and may your cookies be thick, soft, and full of Christmas cheer.
